In Maori tradition, Papatuanuku is the land. She is a mother earth figure who gives birth to all things, including people, trees, birds. People are born from the land and we are nourished by her. In this illustration you will see the fire at the heart of Papatuanuku. At our heart center we also carry this fire energy, our passion for life.
